Pump Head Margin After Import Customs
Why newly imported hydro cabinets sometimes underperform until pump curves are verified on Korean water pressure.
Import cabinets often arrive with pump curves tested at nominal 220 V and ideal inlet pressure โ conditions that do not match every Yeongdeungpo basement at 11 p.m.
Customs Delay and Fluid Stagnation
Long customs holds can mean fluids sat without circulation. We drain and refill per OEM procedure before burn-in, even if the cabinet looks factory-sealed. Stagnation affects inhibitor efficacy and can leave air pockets in upper manifolds.
Pressure Logging Wins Arguments
Min-jun H.’s commissioning flagged a marginal factory pump before hash rate loss appeared. We logged building pressure across evenings and proved the dip correlated with upper-floor laundry draw. The OEM swap was covered under warranty once our curve plot showed head below spec at actual pressure.
Without logging, operators blame “bad ASICs” and run hotter until plates throttle.
Dual-Loop Imports
0.12 EH/s dual-loop units add balancing valves that factory techs set for demo halls. Korean tie-in pressure may require rebalancing after first fill. Commissioning includes a balancing step โ skipping it is a common source of one warm manifold face on thermal images.
